ABOUT COVE 102

Our story

La Caleta 102 was born from Yao and Xavi's shared passion for gastronomy and their connection to Barcelona. After many years living in the city, Yao fell in love with its cuisine and its way of life, visiting restaurants with the dream of one day creating his own space, taking inspiration from each experience and reinterpreting it with a modern and personal vision.

That dream takes shape alongside Xavi, a Barcelona native, lover of Catalan cuisine and tradition, with a special instinct for discovering authentic places and a constant curiosity for the contemporary. Together they bring to life La Caleta 102, a Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Paral·lel where tradition and modernity coexist.

Our cuisine reflects the spirit of Barcelona: Mediterranean, open, and welcoming. Dishes to share, rice dishes that respect tradition, fresh fish from the market, select meats, and classic Catalan dishes, all made with fresh, local produce.

La Caleta 102 is a meeting point for neighbors, visitors, lovers of theater and good food, a place where Catalan tradition is reinterpreted with Mediterranean flavor and a homey feel.

La Caleta 102 is driven by two converging perspectives: that of someone who arrived from elsewhere and fell hopelessly in love with Barcelona, and that of someone who has lived there all their life, growing up with its rhythm, its light, and its unique way of understanding life. This combination of experiences and fascination with the city has now translated into a shared project.
